WORKING TOGETHER FOR YOUR FUTURE
The Ofsted report, 2015 mentions:
"Through outstanding partnership working and strong engagement with the local community, leaders and staff work particularly effectively with local schools to ensure a smooth transition to further education for those students who are at risk of not participating. Students on programmes for 14 to 16-year-olds achieve very well with the majority of students progressing onto to level 1 or level 2 courses at the college."
ESC is proud to be a leading provider of Further Education and works in partnership with schools, pupils and parents to inform them of the exciting vocational options available to them post-16.
We are pleased to offer places on our post-16 courses to pupils who provide evidence that they are committed to their course, which is supported by a successful College interview and school report.
In order to ensure that pupils are able to make an informed decision about their post-16 vocational choices, ESC offers a wide range of taster courses and accredited qualifications for 14-16 year olds. In collaboration with local schools, we provide pupils with the opportunity of studying in Further Education whilst still at school, developing their practical and theoretical skills alongside the GCSE school programme.
Pupils are able to benefit from studying vocational courses in a range of areas such as Construction, Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Hair and Beauty, Art, Design and Media, Travel and Tourism, Health and Social Care. Places on these courses are offered through the school to individuals who are motivated and committed to succeeding on these alternative and exciting School Link programmes. ESC is continually developing its 14-16 curriculum offer to meet both school and industry demands, ensuring that pupils receive sound preparation for Further Education and/or the workplace.
