Art & Design students celebrate IWD


In recognition of International Women’s Day last week, Art & Design students had work featured at a Celebration of Women event in Redhill! The event, hosted by East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS), was held at The Harlequin Theatre and featured inspirational speakers, performances and art exhibitions, including our students' work.

Games Design Career Talk


Our Games Design Level 3 students enjoyed an interesting insight into the career path of former ESC student, Jake Mann who is a successful Digital Concept Artist. Jake studied foundation Art & Design at East Surrey College 10 years ago before progressing on to study Games Design at Norwich University of the Arts. 

Getting Creative for a local School


Our students at Reigate School of Art have been putting their creative talents to use on a client brief for Sandcross Primary School in Reigate! The Art & Design Level 3 students planned and designed wall paintings for the school’s library, based on the first lines of famous books. 

Students work on a live client brief!


Students across Reigate School of Art have been working on an exciting live brief for Include, a charity supporting people with communication difficulties. The charity also provides services to business, raising awareness of these difficulties and how they can meet different needs. 

Music students showcase their talent!


To mark 100 years since the Treaty of Versailles came into effect on 10 January 1920, Neutral Ground Records held their ‘War Stories’ event on Wednesday 22 January. Artists on the label were commissioned to compose contemporary pieces of music or sound, inspired by stories or images from the First World War. 

Fun in Falmouth!


Students at the Reigate School of Art recently spent a couple of days in Cornwall, as they explored the Eden Project and Falmouth University! The students, who were studying Art & Design Level 3 & Level 4 Foundation, Photography Level 3 and Music Level 3, first arrived at the Eden Project...


Creative Futures Event 2019


Our first Creative Futures Event was a huge success! Hosted by the team at Reigate School of Art in partnership with University for the Creative Arts (UCA), guests were welcomed with an exhibition of student work and refreshments. They were then introduced to the variety of exciting education pathways and the career opportunities in the Creative Industries.

Illustration Project for Gibsons Dementia Jigsaws


Art & Design Level 3 Extended Diploma second year students enjoyed the opportunity to work on a professional project for Gibsons, a family run business based in Sutton. The brief was to produce illustrations based on images and colours from the 50s and 60s for a range of dementia friendly jigsaw puzzles.  

Glow Wild 2019


Students at the Reigate School of Art are working hard on a project for Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew to produce willow and tissue paper lanterns for their Glow Wild Winter Lantern Festival at Wakehurst Place. Art students from Level 1 – 3, took part in a workshop run by Same Sky, a local community arts organisation. 

Origins Creative Arts Festival 2019
