Student On-site COVID-19 testing
We are looking forward to welcoming you to College for Enrolment and the start of the academic term. We hope to make it an exciting and enjoyable academic experience.
For the safety of our community, throughout the pandemic we have worked with students and staff to ensure that they have easy access to COVID-19 Lateral Flow Testing, both onsite and remotely, this continues to be a keen focus for us heading into the new academic year.
As you may have heard the Government has asked schools and colleges to test all students prior to them starting the new term.
Therefore, we have reinstated our on-site COVID-19 Test Centre at East Surrey College. We will have the Centre open throughout the enrolment period from Monday 23 August until Friday 3 September.
After you have completed your enrolment we would ask that you take the first of your required COVID-19 tests.
Home testing kits will also be supplied for the supplementary tests that are needed prior to the start of term and for continuous testing through the term, in compliance with Government guidance.
- Please test 3-5 days after your on-site test
- Follow up with a test the morning (or night prior) to your first day at College
- Please register your results online on the NHS and College recording systems (using the QR codes supplied)
If you receive a positive outcome or you are showing symptoms of COVID, please self-isolate and contact NHS 111.
Whilst testing is on a voluntary basis we continue to encourage both staff and students to support this important initiative.
