National Apprenticeship Week - Day 2
Date: 06 March 2018
It’s Day 2 of National Apprenticeship Week and the day started with a morning visit from former Apprentice Tom Jerome, of Govia Thameslink, who spoke to our Engineering Technician Apprentices. It was great to hear how they are finding the Apprenticeship, and the importance of applications with “a genuine practical interest and passion for the subject.”
It was also fantastic to welcome Colin Moorcroft from Buxton Building who shared with us how Apprenticeships are “a step into business, and the chance to learn new skills”, and later in the day, Melissa Rambridge and current Apprentice, Diogo from Sweethaven Computers. They came in to chat to our Level 3 IT students about Apprenticeships and the fantastic opportunities available within their company, and why students should consider taking on an Apprenticeship as a future pathway.
A huge thank you to Govia Thameslink, Buxton Building and Sweethaven Computers for coming in today and chatting to our students.
