AHT National Awards 2021

AHT National Awards 2021

Date: 29 June 2021

Every year, the Association of Hairdressers & Therapists (AHT) Awards bring together students from across the country, studying for qualifications in the Make-Up sector. For the first time, the National Finals were held virtually this year, with all competitors submitting photographic entries.

Following their success at last year's National Finals, and the Regional Heats (held at ESC!), our students rose to the challenge and were able to put together creative looks and produce award-winning works of art.

At the National Finals this year, there were 22 competitions in total including Bridal Make-Up, Fantasy Hairdressing and Men’s Barbering, with students from colleges in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all taking part.

We're excited to announce success for the following students:

Following the students’ success, Theatrical Make-Up Tutor Karen Fundell, commented:

“The students can be commended for their commitment to their studies and the excellence in their work, especially during Covid restrictions this year. The standard of work has been a testament to the positive attitudes and professional practice that have helped them achieve this success at AHT and the work they put in to ensure that they are employable graduates.”

Director of Learning - Service Industries, David Rabjohns also credited the tutors, commenting:

“I am extremely grateful to the tutors for their continued support and for bringing their industry experience to inspire our students, encouraging them to take part in competitions such as AHT.”

We're still accepting applications for September for our Theatrical Make-Up and Reigate School of Art Courses for school leavers and at University Level
