High Sheriff of Surrey presents students' awards!

We've been celebrating our students at the 2018 End of Year Award Events!

The second week saw students from ESOL collecting their awards, congratulations to all! In the image below are winners of Most Committed Student, Kevin Miret Noriega (Entry 1) and Ahmed Ali Abdelwahab (Entry 1), as well as Petra Beatrix Toth, Best Student for Entry 1, and Salem Dawit, who was commended for Excellent Progress on her Entry 3 course.

The next award event celebrated students on Engineering & Motor Vehicle courses, and the College were delighted to welcome governors Colin Monk and Simon Bland, who presented awards to the students. Photographed below with Mr Monk are Lewis Heanan (Student of the Year, Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 2) and Twinkle Clarke, who received a trophy as Engineering Apprentice of the Year. Also featured is Mr Bland with Runner-Up Student of the Year, Will Doherty (Aeronautical Engineering Level 3), and Vehicle Technology Level 3 student Andrew Webber, who was presented with the Seraph Peacock Award.

There were also celebrations for the Construction students, as their End of Year Awards Event was held, with governor Liz Rushton handing out awards. Congratulations to our winners, across a wide range of disciplines! Featured below are just a few, including Charlie Hill, a Bricklaying Apprentice, who was awarded The Silver Trowel Award, with Lecturer Ronan Murray, and Joanne Buckley, a Painting & Decorating Apprentice, recipient of The Brewers Shield. The Brewers Cup Joint Award was presented to Heather Smewing, photographed with Painting & Decorating Lecturer, Justine Chart. Also featured below is Joshua Bremer, Plumbing Level 2, who was awarded with a shield as Plumbase Student of the Year. 

The College were delighted to welcome The High Sheriff of Surrey last week, who presented our Supported Learning students with their awards! Pictured below are Jessica Liu, awarded with Entry Level 1 Certificate in Personal Progress and Grant Reeves, Student of the Year, Skills for Independence and Work! Also featured are Hannah Weaver, our Supported Internship Student of the Year and Jordan Johns, Entry 1 Diploma in Personal Progress.
