Success at the Starpack Awards 2021!
Date: 25 June 2021
Each year, our Art & Design students enter the national Schools Starpack Competition, set by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
The competition encourages students to experience the world of professional packaging design, with different briefs for them to explore. This year, the three briefs were:
A: On the Go Hand Sanitiser Bottle
B: Food-to-go Packaging to promote Healthy Eating for Children
C: Interactive Packaging (Cereal)
With each brief, our Level 3 students had to take into consideration the materials used, product practicality and eye-catching design.
Our students created some brilliant designs, with three students achieving Bronze Awards and three were Highly Commended. Our winners were:
Dom – Bronze – On the Go Hand Sanitizer
Lily – Bronze – Food-to-Go Packaging
Madeline – Bronze – Interactive Packaging
