We are working in partnership with Mindful Education to provide a suite of AAT blended learning Apprenticeships that offer flexible study options, combining online learning with face-to-face lessons in the classroom at East Surrey College.

Start Date: Flexible

Duration: 18-24 Months

Course Code: W1247

Entry Requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A* to C) or equivalent including English and Maths.

NOTE: you must be employed in a relevant accounting role before applying.

The Apprenticeship programme will take place in the workplace alongside combined online learning and face-to-face lessons in the classroom at East Surrey College.

We are pleased that the flexible delivery of these Apprenticeships can be easily adapted to online learning only to adhere to the latest Government guidance. By attending lessons remotely (Online), Apprentices are able to safely continue their studies during times where ‘On Campus’ teaching is not possible. This flexible approach to learning and delivery of the course enables the College to adapt to Government guidelines and continue to deliver high quality teaching during these changing times.

This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) professional level Apprenticeship is a higher-level accounting qualification. Upon successful completion of the qualification and AAT’s work experience requirements, you can apply for AAT full membership and achieve professional AAT (MAAT) status. This course covers drafting financial statements, managing budgets and evaluating financial performance.

Working with East Surrey College, Mindful Education provide a unique, interactive online learning package. This delivers key knowledge and skills in a variety of ways, allows students to test their knowledge and ask questions which are monitored by tutors. This also ensures that tutors can ensure face-to-face contact which focuses on the key areas that students need support with. Our courses offer the best of both worlds, requiring less time in College than traditional classroom-only courses, and allowing students to choose how, when and where they want to study.

Exercises, interactive case studies and analytical tools help to enhance the learning experience further.

Experienced tutors will discuss and reinforce what you have learnt during your online study and are on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Discussion and debate with classmates will help you apply theories to situations you face in the workplace.
