About the Course
This Level 4 course will give a broad introduction to digital technologies and to a range of specialist functions. You will develop and strengthen core skills, while preparing to study specialist subjects at Level 5 or to enter employment with the qualities necessary for job roles that require some personal responsibility. You will study a range of topics including Professional Practice in the Digital Economy Innovation and Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, Cloud Fundamentals, Networking in the Cloud, Database Design & Development, Project Management and Games Development.
64 UCAS points from A-Levels with one subject in Computing/IT/Games Design/Media or a Level 3 qualification in Computing/IT/Games Design/Media (at least MPP or equivalent), plus GCSE English and Maths at grade 9-4 (A*-C). Mature students with a sufficient professional experience will also be considered. |

This course can lead to our Internet Software Development Foundation Degree (FdSc) and later to complete a top-up degree year at universities. HNCs provide a nationally recognised qualification offering career progression and professional development for those already in employment. Through developing your abilities, you could demonstrate the potential to move into administrative, supervisory and eventually management roles. It is also a well-regarded qualification for progression to the second year of an Honours Degree at some universities.
