About the Course

This Level 4 HNC is designed to develop your knowledge and skills in electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering technologies which are crucial to organisations in this dynamic sector. This course will allow you to study a more diverse range of units from digital principles to electrical testing and principles.

Two A-Levels including Maths and another technical subject (normally Physics), or a BTEC Level 3 National Certificate, Diploma or Extended Diploma in Engineering. Mature applicants will be considered by interview.

The course will be internally assessed through a programme of assignments, projects, case studies and practical activities.

An Engineering Higher National Certificate can lead to further progression in the engineering sector. It can also provide the option to top up your Higher National Certificate to a Level 5 Higher National Diploma. This requires you to study a further 8 units to complete your HND.
