ABOUT THE COURSE
This qualification is designed to meet the needs of those already in employment and looking to further their career within engineering. The Level 5 HND programme is designed to cover the key knowledge required by all engineers such as; engineering design, mathematics and science, and how to manage a professional engineering project.

If you’re looking to further develop your technical knowledge and skills, this course will allow you to study a more diverse range of units from digital principles to electrical testing and principles.

ASSESSMENT
The course will be internally assessed through a programme of assignments, projects, case studies and practical activities.

This course consists of 6 core units common to all Engineering BTEC programmes, two subject specific mandatory units and seven additional units chosen from a range.

WHERE DOES IT LEAD?
These qualifications provide students with a clear pathway to employment, appropriate support during employment and a recognised progression route to gain the further learning required at Level 6 to achieve Incorporated Engineer (IEng) registration or to the final stages of a degree.
