Fun in Falmouth!
Published: 17 December 2019
Students at the Reigate School of Art recently spent a couple of days in Cornwall, as they explored the Eden Project and Falmouth University!
The students, who were studying Art & Design Level 3 & Level 4 Foundation, Photography Level 3 and Music Level 3, first arrived at the Eden Project. Staff led them around the Rainforest Biome before setting them a night-time art task "inspired by their sensory exploration."
One Eden Project staff member commented:
"Having the rainforest to ourselves at night is a genuinely amazing thing, very fortunate. “
After a night's stay in the Eden Project Youth Hostel, the students travelled to the Falmouth University Penryn Campus, where they were divided into groups for various practical workshops. The workshops included Games Development, Animation, Photography and Fashion, and helped the students experience Higher Education study in the creative industries.
There were more workshops in the afternoon, this time at the Woodlane Campus, which included Creative Advertising, Illustration and Sustainable Product Design, before the students departed Falmouth and headed home.
Thank you to all the staff at the Eden Project and Falmouth University for inspiring our students and ensuring the trip was a success!
