Life Skills Christmas Stall
Published: 05 December 2019
Life Skills students have been running their own Christmas stall at College, selling their handmade Christmas ornaments and cards as well as impressive pine cone tree sculptures!
The students enjoyed using clay and salt dough to create their tree ornaments, and made large sculptures out of branches and pine cones. The Christmas cards on sale had also been designed by students, as well as the decorations of pine cone and feathers.
Adam Richards, Curriculum Manager – SEND, commented:
“The students did everything from start to finish – from collecting the pine cones and branches before creating the tree sculptures, preparing and painting the clay tree decorations, advertising and selling the products. This was a great opportunity for them to develop their creative skills as well as demonstrate the communication, confidence, English and maths and employability skills they have been learning in lessons.”
All proceeds from the stall are going towards Macmillan Charity Support.
