This is a practical painting course for all levels of ability. Beginners and those with more experience will be supported in applying acrylic paint to board or paper. You will be guided to develop ideas and techniques in a fun, friendly, learning environment. Throughout the course everyone will be encouraged to experiment and try out new ideas or develop existing skills.

Over the course, students will explore a variety of painting techniques using different types of paints. Students can either work on different pieces of art or develop one during the course.
An active approach to drawing, students will be working from the human form. This experimental approach to Life Drawing will place emphasis on experimentation. Time will be spent exploring drawing in various mediums (Charcoal, chalks paints on various surfaces) and approaches in short poses from one to twenty minutes.

The primary aim of this course is to develop the students practical skills to alter clothes. Students will recognise the appropriate technique to alter a variety of garments. Students will have the opportunity to develop their sewing skills and practise on garments they bring to the course.
Learners will quickly develop drawing and painting skills in a supportive and fun environment using a variety of media. Most classes will be based on still life, but some other imagery may be explored toward the end of the course. More experienced learners will find each term the course is altered so they may develop more techniques so adding to their skills base.
