Employability/Work Skills (Full Time)

After completing Entry 3 Vocational Studies, you will be able to make a choice in Employment Pathways. This range of flexible pathways will help to develop your confidence and work based skills. You will continue to improve your Literacy and Numeracy through Functional Skills. You will continue to undertake a work experience placement to develop confidence and the skills required by employers.

Retail and Customer Service SEND (Full Time)

Entry Requirements: Student who have achieved Entry Level Qualifications and have an EHCP Level 1 1 or 2 years Students will have the opportunity to develop previous skills and knowledge gained in customer service, retail and hospitality industry sectors. The course will develop the employability skis of the SEND students in a variety of customer service industries by taking a holistic approach to promote communication and teamwork skills building on pre-preparation for independence and adulthood

Skills for Independence and Work (Full Time)

Students working at Entry 2 will study a range of units to enhance their education and independence skills. You will be taught a range of units to support your development within education and to complement your independent living skills. This will allow you to progress academically through the Supported Learning Department. Students will increase their understanding of core functional skills including Literacy, Numeracy and ICT and understand how it is used in daily situations. Targets will be set to an individual plan. This will ensure students are well equipped with all the knowledge needed to progress with their education and develop a wide range of daily living skills that will equip them for their future. Students will take Functional Skills exams to complement their main Diploma.

Supported Internship (Full Time)

This course is aimed at East Surrey College students who have completed Entry Level and Level 1 courses and need support to transition to voluntary or paid work. As part of this internship, you will gain real world experience in the workplace two days a week as well as developing individual employability and independence skills whilst at College one day a week.
