Bricklaying Apprentice - Rory Phillips

Rory Phillips is studying towards an Intermediate Apprenticeship qualification, and works as a Bricklaying Apprentice with Engie, an energy and services company.

He has seen great success at various competitions in 2019, as his passion for the industry has been recognised.

Rory was shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year at the Construction News Talent Awards and was runner up Apprentice of the Year at the 2019 On the Tools Awards. He was then commended at the 2019 Youthbuild UK Young Builder of the Year Awards in October 2019!

Suzanne Bingham, TAG Development Officer at Engie, commented:

“We are incredibly proud of Rory and are delighted by his success. He worked very hard throughout his apprenticeship and has developed into a skilled multi-trader and a fantastic role model. He is a great asset to the ENGIE team. Rory’s recent recognition by Youthbuild UK and On the Tools demonstrates how far he has come, and what you can achieve with determination and effort.”
