MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Two A Levels in a relevant Media or Art based subject. A range of GCSEs grades 9-4 (A*-C) and a portfolio of work, or an equivalent qualification in Level 3 Theatrical Make-Up or equivalent BTEC/UAL qualification. A risk assessment is required for those who are pregnant or suffer from asthma.


PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
This creative course provides an insight into the fast-paced and diverse world of media make-up and associated special make-up effects, offering a range of skills and career options. You will gain the skills and knowledge required through practical sessions and theory, through art and contextual studies in theatrical, special effects make-up, prosthetics and hair styling with the ability to specialise in a chosen pathway.

ASSESSMENT
Assessment of knowledge and understanding will be continuous and covered by specific assignments and projects throughout the academic year. Assessment methods will be varied and include written work, practical assignments and the generation of ideas and proposals to meet a specific work-related brief. Deadlines are important and will be strictly enforced in line with industry and higher education expectations.

WHERE DOES IT LEAD? 
The course is designed to support careers within the theatre as well as in film and television, but will also include aspects of fashion and work in other creative industries. As the College is less than 20 miles from London, full-time HND students will be well prepared for careers within London’s fast-growing creative industry sector. Conversion from HND to a BA (Hons) degree is also possible for successful students.
