UNITS/TOPICS COVERED:
You will study the following mandatory units:
- Applied Management Accounting
- Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements
- Internal Accounting Systems and Controls
The optional units taught at East Surrey College are:
- Personal Tax
- Credit and Debt Management
The following optional units can be taken independently
- Business Tax
- Audit & Assurance
- Cash and Financial Management
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Books, pen, paper, scientific calculator, access to the internet, a quiet place to work from home, and a device such as a
PC/laptop or tablet.
Achievement of an AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting is essential plus English GCSE.
The accountancy skills developed by studying this qualification will enable you to seek employment with confidence,
and/or to progress to study chartered accountancy
The unit are assessed through a computer-based exam, which draws on and assesses knowledge and understanding
from across the topic. The assessment is marked by AAT. To achieve success, you will need a mark of 70% in the
assessment.
The fees displayed are the MAXIMUM payable by adults aged 19+ unless you qualify for a concessionary fee. Please be aware that there may be additional costs for materials.
Concessions
Tuition fees may be waived or reduced if you are on a low income or receive certain benefits.
If you don’t qualify for a concession, you will need to pay for your course in full or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the cost (Level 3-6 courses only).
