Through strong school partnerships, we support students every step of the way from secondary education to college life.
Our Partner Schools
We have a collaborative and valued partnership with several local schools to ensure a smooth transition from secondary to further education.
Students at our partner schools receive lots of support and opportunities to meet our School Liaison team and find out more about the College and options available to them. Our partner schools gain access to a wide variety of benefits including:
- Bespoke school assemblies
- Information evenings
- Open events
- Taster days
- And, a guaranteed place for your students, providing they meet course entry requirements.

Becoming a Partner School with East Surrey College will open up exclusive opportunities for college tours, transition activities and support, including application journeys and course guidance.
Pre-College School Links Programme
Funded by their secondary school, Year 11 students can attend weekly half-day sessions in either our Hair & Beauty, Motor Vehicle, Digital Skills or Construction departments, which is known as our Pre-College School Links Programme.
The programme provides students with an opportunity to experience college life before they finish school and receive a recognised qualification.
The Pre-College School Links Programme is delivered by our fantastic curriculum teachers and technicians, who accommodate all students’ specific needs. Typically, a school will send along a member of staff to accompany their learners during their afternoon session with the college.

If you are in a local school and interested in enrolling some Year 11 students in this programme, please contact our School Liaison team to discuss your specific needs and we can share more information with you.
College Experience Programme for SEND Learners
Funded by their secondary school, SEND students from year 11 upwards can attend weekly sessions in either hair & beauty, motor vehicle, film making, music, print design or construction on a termly basis. This provides students with the opportunity to get a feel for college learning as well as life around campus.
In an academic year they will rotate around 3 departments (one per term). They will also receive a certificate of attendance to support future college applications for a full-time course.
The College Experience Programme is delivered by our fantastic curriculum teachers and technicians, who accommodate all students’ specific needs.
