East Surrey College has hundreds of courses to choose from. We will help you select the courses, making up your own individual programme of study to suit your level and aspirations. Courses can be studied at different levels, depending on where you are in your studies and what you can do and what your long term ambitions are.
We offer a range of courses, find out more below.
We offer vocational subjects from Level 1 – Level 3. Our programmes are designed for those interested in a particular sector or industry, offering a mix of theory and practical learning. These courses will be a great choice for you if you:
- Prefer practical hands-on learning
- Prefer work-based assessments rather than exams
- Want to go direct into employment or further study
We offer a wide range of Apprenticeships, depending on your current level of qualification. As an Apprentice, you will be employed by a company and earn a wage, build your skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification. Apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with study to develop job-specific skills and knowledge.
Intermediate Apprenticeships (equivalent to five good GCSE passes):
Apprentices work towards their vocational qualifications, Functional Skills and where relevant, a technical certificate. These provide you with the skills you need for your chosen career and provides entry to an Advanced Apprenticeship.
Advanced Apprenticeships (equivalent to two A Level passes):
Advanced Apprenticeships are Level 3 qualifications. To start this programme, you should ideally have five GCSEs (grade 4/C or above) including Maths and English.
We offer a GCSE re-sit programme designed for school leavers looking to improve their GCSE grades or who maybe missed the opportunity to sit the exams.
Subjects include Maths, English, Double Science and Computer Science.
We also offer GCSEs in Maths and English for learners who wish to retake the qualification(s) as additional subjects to their main qualification.
GCSE Maths and English are essential qualifications and will form part of your Full-time programme unless you have already achieved grade 4 or above.
Entry Level 1-3 programmes are designed to support students to progress towards independence – building personal, social and work readiness skills that are vital for daily living.
Supported Internships are structured, work-based programmes. With the support of an expert job coach, students spend typically around 70% of their learning time in a workplace.
