Why did you choose ESC? Did you visit any Open Events, and if so, how were these useful?
I chose ESC because it has a good reputation in the area, and the course they offered suited my chosen progression pathway.
Why did you choose the course/s you took?
Because it offered a very good base in the sciences, which allowed me to progress to my current degree at university
What did you enjoy about the course/s? Any particular modules or topics?
I enjoyed the anatomy and physiology unit where we learnt about the lymphatic system, which I am currently studying in greater detail as part of my degree.
How did you find the teaching/support on the course/s?
The teaching support was very good, and I had regular meetings with my tutor and with a learning support assistant to track my progress and achievements.
Did you undertake any work experience whilst on the course?
Yes, I completed work experience in a pharmacy and at my old school.
Did you take part in any enrichment activities at College?
I was a student governor in my second year, and I also ran a neurodiversity group for students with disabilities.
How did the course prepare you for your job/uni? What specific skills did you learn on your course that have helped you at your work/uni?
It gave me the knowledge and skills I needed to understand lectures and complete coursework.

What current work or study are you doing now? What do you enjoy most about it?
I am currently studying Biomedical Science at the University of Kent with the goal of becoming a biomedical scientist specialising in Histopathology. I enjoy being able to read around my subject and ask my lecturers questions that I have about specific aspects of human biology.

Do you have any advice you would give to new students at ESC?
Keep on top of your workload from the very start so you can get signed off early and enjoy a nice, long summer. Also, think about progression routes very early on, so you know what grades you are aiming for.
