This course focuses on complex vocabulary related to news items, cultural events and colloquial language. More complex grammar is taught to support your use of the language. The course aims to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and enables students to learn individually, in pairs and in groups.
Students are provided with a range of resources to use in the classroom as well as at home.
You will learn how to:
- Buy clothes
- Describe physical appearance and personality
- Talk about weather
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
You will need a pen and paper, dictionaries are not required but you may find these useful. Tutors may deliver the course following a particular textbook, which you may wish to buy. This will be confirmed during the first session.
Students wishing to join this course should have completed the Beginners Level and Module 1 and 2 of Intermediate Level.

The fees displayed are the MAXIMUM payable by adults aged 19+ unless you qualify for a concessionary fee. Please be aware that there may be additional costs for materials.
Concessions
Tuition fees may be waived or reduced if you are on a low income or receive certain benefits.
If you don’t qualify for a concession, you will need to pay for your course in full or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the cost (Level 3-6 courses only).
