What led you to choosing this course?
I’ve always had a genuine interest in the beauty sector, following trends on social media and looking at the new range of products.
The sector is also very client facing which is good because I enjoy meeting new people and helping them reach their beauty wants and needs.
Why did you decide to study at ESC?
When looking at my options, I attended an Open Event and got to explore the hair and beauty facilities. I thought the way the beauty rooms were laid out was really professional and it was like looking at a real-life salon.
What do you enjoy most about your course?
I really enjoy that no two days are the same – we are constantly learning new treatments including facials, eyelash and eyebrows, waxing and make-up. With each treatment, clients are also looking for different styles and that helps with creativity.
How are you finding the teaching/support?
The support I’ve received has been very warming and understanding, when I struggle to understand how to start a treatment, they guide us through it step by step.
Have you taken part in events/trips/competitions/exhibitions/ or any speakers visit?
As a class we attended Salon Beauty at the excel in London, during this trip we were able to speak with industry professionals, learn more about beauty brands and see the newest technologies.
We also recently welcomed students from The Children’s Trust School where we were able to do mini manicures and nail art which was a really fun experience.
What are your future plans?
I would love to open my own beauty salon but before then I plan on completing the Level 2 and Level 3 beauty course before looking for my first job.
Would you recommend ESC to a future student. If so, why?
I would, the facilities here are really good and the teachers are so understanding. They really help you achieve whatever your goal.
