Megan’s goal is to become a Teaching Assistant at a primary school, so she’s using the course to gain confidence and independence to help ready her for work experience. She enjoys working as part of a team and loved the look of the college after seeing the Foundation Learning rooms.
What led you to choosing this course?
I chose this course because I want to gain more skills and independence. I am also hoping to use this course to get some work experience in the future.
Why did you decide to study at ESC?
We had a tour of the college and I liked the facilities, especially Foundation Learning’s own area and the classrooms like the kitchen.
What did you enjoy most about your course?
What I enjoy most is my coursework and working towards the qualifications at the end, it will be a great achievement. I also like how we work as a team or in group work to help each other, as well.
Overall, how did you find the teaching/support?
The support is really good, I can talk to my tutor whenever I need support, and I’m slowly opening up with every week that passes.
Did you complete any work experience during this course?
The work I’m doing on my course is leading up to being able to do work experience in the future. I would love to get a job as a teaching assistant at Woodfield School as my dream career and I’m hopeful I can make this happen.
Did you take part in any events/trips/competitions/exhibitions or had any speakers visit? If so, what and tell us more!
I enjoy cooking, my favourite thing we have made recently is the taco’s, but I’ve enjoyed everything.
Would you recommend ESC to a future student? If so, why?
I would recommend it’s a good place to gain any kind of qualification. Our special Foundation Learning area means I feel safe coming in to college.
