This vocational qualification expands your existing beauty therapy expertise, enabling you to master a wider range of advanced, specialist techniques and preparing you to work confidently as an advanced senior beauty therapist.
Please note this course runs 2 days a week (Monday and Tuesday).
This Advanced Beauty Therapy Level 4 course focuses on advanced techniques and practices in the beauty industry, including specialist treatments, client care, and salon management. Ideal for professionals aiming to expand their career opportunities, the course provides a strong foundation for roles in salons, aesthetic clinics, or self-employment.

COURSE TOPICS / UNITS
The advanced techniques covered in the mandatory section of this qualification include:
- laser and light treatments for hair removal
- laser and light treatments for skin rejuvenation
- microdermabrasion techniques
You will also gain knowledge and understanding of dermatology and microbiology, physiology of ageing, management of health, safety and security in the salon, quality management of client care and salon management.
You will also have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills by selecting from a range of optional units, including:
- Research
- IT and data handling
- Marketing
- Cultural social and technological influences on beauty-related industries
- Public relations in the hair and beauty sector
A Beauty Therapy qualification at level 3is required.
This qualification will allow you to gain employment as an advanced senior beauty therapist.
Assessment methods include a combination of practical observations, written assignments, projects and exams.
The fees displayed are the MAXIMUM payable by adults aged 19+ unless you qualify for a concessionary fee. Please be aware that there may be additional costs for materials.
Concessions
Tuition fees may be waived or reduced if you are on a low income or receive certain benefits.
If you don’t qualify for a concession, you will need to pay for your course in full or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the cost (Level 3-6 courses only).
