Barbering Level 2

This is a Barbering qualification that will develop practical skills in; the creative art of cutting men’s hair, the specialist work of cutting facial hair and how to offer a good consultation service for clients.

UNITS/TOPICS COVERED:

• Cut hair using basic barbering techniques
• Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques
• Follow Health and Safety practice in the salon
• Client consultation for hair services

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

• East Surrey College uniform is required: plain black clothing, smart clothes and black leather shoes
• Specific equipment kit required (£150 approximately)

None

Further hairdressing courses or employment in a barbers, hairdressers or freelance work.

A portfolio of practical work, exams and assignments.
