This Creative Enterprise UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma has been designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to develop a career as an entrepreneur. This qualification will provide you with an opportunity to cultivate your employability by developing creative enterprise skills, expanding an industry contact base while developing start‑up projects and professional practice.
This course will prepare you for employment including self‑employment and/or support a role in the workplace in your chosen industry.
The qualification is also appropriate if you wish to continue your education through applied learning, by locating that learning within a professional context in which you can work alongside industry experts to gain first‑hand industry experience.

- Students must successfully complete all three units in order to achieve the qualification. The qualification offers broad but in-depth knowledge and skills and has been designed to balance practical and creative skills with theoretical studies. Work placement and/or mentoring opportunities and industry-led projects are key elements of this qualification, and will support students to gain a comprehensive understanding of employment opportunities in the sector.
This is an ideal course to follow on from a Level 3 qualification; A Levels, Diplomas or Apprenticeships, or relevant industry experience, for those who do not want to go to university.
Learners should have achieved GCSE grade 4 or grade C (or an
equivalent level 2 qualification) in both English and Maths.
Students are expected to be aged 18 or above to undertake
this qualification.
Employment, self-employment and/or further progression to higher education.
This qualification is assessed through a portfolio of evidence:
- Two internally assessed and moderated units, which are subject to quality assurance by UAL Awarding Body
- One internally assessed unit which is marked by the centre and moderated by UAL Awarding Body
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
