You will learn how to create a hair and beauty image, plait and twist hair, colour hair using various methods for semi and temporary colour, display stock and promote products and services to clients. You will develop a sound knowledge and understanding of the theory of each unit and gain the employability skills needed to become a successful hairdresser.

- 5 GCSE’s, grade A*-D (9-3) including English and Maths and an interview, or Level 1 Hairdressing and GCSE grades A*-D (9-3) in English and Maths.
- A positive reference from your tutor and a proven track record of good attendance and punctuality.
Employment as a Junior Stylist in a salon, Barbering Level 2 or Hairdressing Level 3, or an NVQ Apprenticeship.
There is a continued assessment throughout the programme, allowing students to improve and develop continually. Assessment comes in a range of forms including practical assessment and online tests.
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
