You will update and extend your hairdressing skills gained at Level 2 to include advanced colouring techniques and high fashion work. You will take part in fashion shows and competitions to help develop your career to become a top flight stylist or trainer. You will also be expected to participate in relevant work experience, if not already employed in a salon.

You need to be either working in the industry and/or have good practical skills. Successful completion of Level 2 Hairdressing and GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) in English and Maths. A positive reference from your tutor and a good attendance record.
You will have the chance to progress into employment working in a salon or continue to develop your skills on a Higher Apprenticeship, Higher Education course at ESC or an undergraduate Degree at University.
There is a continued assessment throughout the programme, allowing students to improve and develop continually. Assessment comes in a range of forms including practical assessment and online tests.
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
