The Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical and Media Make-up is a tech level qualification aimed at those who wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed make-up artist, providing hair and make-up services in the media, theatre, performing arts, fashion or photographic industries.
UNITS/TOPICS COVERED:
• Camouflage make-up
• Fashion and photographic make-up
• Applying air brush make-up to the face
• Design and apply face and body art
• Creative hair design skills
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Hairdressing, media make-up kit and uniform: ÂŁ633 (Please note prices are an estimate and subject to change)
Hair & Media Make-Up Level 2 Diploma, Art Level 3 or Art A-Level and GCSE grade 9-4 (A*-C) in English and Maths.
The next steps after this course are endless! You can progress straight into employment or enrol on a Higher or Degree Apprenticeship.
You can also develop further skills on a Higher Education course at ESC studying Make-up, Special Effects & Hair for Media and Performance (FDA) accredited by Chichester University or even an undergraduate Degree programme at an alternative university.
There is a continued assessment throughout the programme, allowing students to improve and develop continually. Assessment comes in a range of forms including practical assessment and online tests.
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
