These courses are designed to help you reach your potential and enhance your skills and knowledge to progress onto independent living and employment.

Personal Progress Entry Level 1 (Full Time)

The course is offered to students who need to further develop their personal, social and independent skills to prepare them for adulthood. These include communication, behaviour, and confidence, keeping safe and engaging with others. Students will also develop English and Maths which are part of the course.

Skills for Independence Entry Level 2 (Full Time)

The course is designed to help students prepare for independent living and future employment. Units including Healthy Living, Cooking at Home and Enterprise will help students develop the necessary skills. Students will also develop English and Maths which are part of the course.

Skills for Work Level 1 (Full Time)

This course consists of a number of activities and subjects, including personal and social development, preparation for work and work experience. Students will also get the opportunity to improve their literacy and numeracy skills, build their knowledge and confidence and discover more about their options for employment or further study at college, with the aim of successfully preparing them to secure a job or to progress to a specialist vocational course at the College.

Supported Internship Level 1 (Full Time)

The Supported Internship is a one year programme designed to develop the skills required for students with SEND to access employment. Students will attend college one day a week to learn the skills required in the workplace and Job Coaches will support the students to find work on the other 2 days (hours and days in work are dependent on the individual student and the needs of the business)
