Labour Market Information (LMI) is a useful tool to help young people research future jobs in the local area, understand the skills needed for individual roles and the demand for future employment.

WHAT IS LABOUR MARKETING INFORMATION?

Labour Market Information (LMI) helps break down the working environment into bitesize pieces. Young people can identify:

  • Descriptions of individual careers
  • Entry requirements for each route
  • Promotional prospects
  • Paid salaries
  • Skills and Qualifications needed to fulfill the role

The LMI further covers the future demand of the job, it looks at where the industry will be in a couple of years and what new skills will be needed.
