Supported Internship Open Day Event
Event Date: 21 May 2024
Register your interest for the upcoming Supported Internship Open Day:
Visit East Surrey College on Tuesday 21 May from 10 am to 1pm to learn more about the Supported Internship programme we have on offer. This one-year programme is designed to develop the skills required for students with SEND to access employment.
During the open event you will have the opportunity to meet the tutors and will give the parents/carers the opportunity to find out more details about what the course entails.
The event will run with the following opportunities:
- Welcome talk
- Overview of the Supported Internship including what it entails, what the prerequisites are and the commitment.
- Learn more about the education you get from the course.
- Receive a checklist for Supported Internship readiness skills
- Talk with partner Surrey Choices on placements, going over how they work and what support is offered.
- Hear from 2 ex-students about their experience
After the talks there will be an opportunity for students, parents, and carers to speak with tutors about the opportunities we have at the College.
