Student Council Meeting
Date: 07 June 2017
Students from across all areas of the College were welcomed to this term’s Student Council meeting which was also attended by our Chair of Governors.
The theme for this event was Democracy, a core British Value. The timing was perfect in light of the upcoming General Election.
It was fantastic to see so many students relish the opportunity of hearing about and discussing democratic processes within the UK and how the process can also be applied across College. We were also delighted to be launching at this time notification of the Student Elections for the posts of SU President and Vice President, which are combined with the role of Student Governor.
As it was the final Council meeting this College year, students were invited to provide feedback on the support that they have received from individual tutors and support staff in order for us to gauge the impact of the service provided and to recognise best practice.
