Art & Design Students Explore Amsterdam

Date: 17 January 2017

Reigate School of Art students recently enjoyed exploring the cultural city of Amsterdam. Visits to a wide range of art galleries and museums increased their exposure to the work of international artists.

The group included students from UAL Art & Design Level 4 Foundation Diploma and UAL Art & Design Level 3 Extended Diploma courses. The students viewed a variety of exhibitions at galleries including Moco Museum, Kröller-Müller Museum, Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. They also had time to explore different parts of this historic city and experience its culture.

As well as being able to view a range of artists’ work, the trip provided them with the opportunity to carry out specialist research for their course projects as well as providing information to use in their UCAS personal statements for University applications.

UAL Art & Design Level 4 Foundation Diploma student, Daisy Haggerty commented:

“The Amsterdam trip was a great opportunity to see a wide range of art and design. It's really helped me push my thinking and given me many more exciting things to talk about at my University interviews this year.”
