Engineering

Date: 18 December 2018

In the run-up to the Christmas break, students and staff from across the Engineering department worked hard making miniature Christmas trees out of metal, in aid of a new dementia-friendly garden at East Surrey Hospital.

Their creations, constructed from aluminium, brass and engineering components, were hung on a tree-shaped frame at the College reception, and were available for staff and students to buy.

In total, £100 was raised from the sales, with 50% covering the material costs and 50% going towards the upkeep of Camomile Courtyard, the purpose-built garden at the Hospital.

Thank you to the Engineering department for your hard work on this festive fundraiser!
