Police engagement with ESOL students

Police engagement with ESOL students

Date: 08 December 2022

On Tuesday 6 December, three members of Surrey Police were invited to the College to give a talk to our ESOL students as part of our ongoing community engagement.

There was positive interaction between officers and students with questions about police practices and procedures which officers were able to answer. Discussions also centred around crime in the community, consent and British Values.

It was fantastic to see open conversations between our students and the officers as it continues to build positive relationships and respect for one another. The talk was followed by the Police interacting and playing table tennis with some of the students in the Winter Garden.
