Accounting Level 4 Apprenticeship

Accounting Level 4 Apprenticeship - Muhammed

Muhammed is undertaking his Apprenticeship with Norbury High School for Girls, where he processes purchase orders and invoices, as well as banking money collected from students. He uses Accounting software on a daily basis and skills that he is able to develop on his College course.

He chose the Apprenticeship route because "I prefer the close monitoring I get from tutors and it allows me to study while I work so I can sustain a living while going through education."

At College, he enjoys the small class sizes and the opportunity to discuss topics in greater detail and "your queries can be resolved within lesson time."

Whilst gaining workplace experience, Muhammed has been able to manage his time and tasks, and even out his work every day. This is complemented by the skills he has developed at College, including decision-making:

"The course helps me to make decisions at work with more confidence and better judgement."

After achieving his Level 4 AAT qualification, Muhammed hopes to start training for an additional Accounting accreditation, such as CIPFA or ACCA.
