Childcare Level 2 - Lauren

Lauren studied Child Development as one of her subjects at school before coming to East Surrey College to study Childcare. She wanted to study Childcare as she is passionate about working with young children. Her school recommended East Surrey College to complete her qualifications and gain the correct support she needed in her studies.
She has been working at Kids Capers in Crawley two days a week to be able to gain the experience that she needs. Within this, she works as a student practitioner where she plans activities and observations to do with the children. She enjoys working with the children and helping the child reach their milestones. Her work experiences made her realise that she wants to work in early years education and focus on children with additional learning needs.
In the future, Lauren would like to move from Level 2 and go onto level 3 Childcare in order to get a higher qualification and work with children.
