ESOL Level 1 - Pamela
In her home country of Italy, Pamela chose a school specialising in languages, where she studied English, Spanish and French. She wanted to then come to the UK to improve her English before going to university.
Pamela commented that the activities in her ESOL class help her to come out of her shell by participating in and leading group discussions.
"We are supported really well in our class, I really enjoy coming to the classes."
Looking to the future, Pamela has submitted applications to study Modern Languages at various well-known universities, with the University of Nottingham being one potential route.
The College has helped Pamela to gain key employability skills, build her confidence and work in busy environments. She is hoping to progress to work as a translator in the future.
