Skills for Independence and Work - Luke

Former School(s): Woodfield School

Luke’s love of cycling has taken him from bike-riding at a young age, to the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games. He has been chosen to represent Team GB at the Games, which take place in March 2019 in Abu Dhabi. This is a huge achievement for Luke, and he is really looking forward to taking part in this exciting event!

Luke is really enjoying his course, particularly “learning and trying new things.” He has especially loved the cooking classes and preparing his favourite dishes. Outside of College, Luke undertakes work experience at the Salvation Army shop in Redhill, which is a great insight into the working world and helps to develop key skills.

2019 is sure to be a great year for Luke as he travels to Abu Dhabi, and we wish him the best of luck!
