On 23 January, Digital and IT students across East Surrey College and John Ruskin College embarked on a memorable day out to the BETT Showcase, the largest technology show in London.
The BETT showcase is an annual convention held in the ExCeL Centre, featuring over 600 exhibitors ranging from AI start-ups to robots and educational technology companies. This wide variety of industries meant that no matter the career path learners are looking to pursue, there was something for everyone.
Throughout the day, students explored the latest innovative and futuristic technologies, gaining insight into how digital tools are shaping the future of learning, while also having fun collecting quirky giveaways along the way.
Terrence Dias, Digital Curriculum Manager, reflected on the visit: “It was exciting to see futuristic innovations that could change the way we interact with each other in the future. Visiting the BETT Show helped both students and staff explore new tools and ideas that will benefit all of us by making learning more engaging and accessible.”
