This course has been designed especially for those who wish to pursue a career in the world of Air Cabin Crew and the Travel and Tourism Industry. The course will provide you with a broad knowledge and understanding of both sectors and equip you with the right skills to pursue a variety of different career opportunities in this interesting and challenging tourism and air transport sector.
Students on this course will benefit from the opportunity of attending site visits to various organisations and events, to see first-hand the exciting opportunities the industry has to offer.
All 16-18 year-olds are required to complete a minimum of 1 week’s work placement (35 hours)* at a time agreed by your department head. *Exact number of hours required will depend on the level course you are enrolled on.
UNITS/TOPICS COVERED:
The Level 2 course offers a Certificate in Air Cabin Crew together with an Extended Certificate in Travel & Tourism. You will be required to undertake GCSE retakes (English & Maths) if you have not yet achieved 9-4 (A*-C) in these areas. Students will also participate in Work Experience outside of their normal college days.

- Students may be required to purchase a uniform as part of their course. Details on how to purchase a uniform will be issued once you have been offered a place on this course.
5 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and Maths; or a Level 1 qualification plus English and Maths at the appropriate level.
Obtaining a merit or above in this course will allow you to move on to Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism or employment at a junior level.
There is a continued assessment throughout the programme, allowing students to improve and develop continually. Assessment comes in a range of forms including reports, practical assessment and observation, online assessments and presentations.
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
