This course provides a grounding in the principles and practices of music performance and/or production. It offers exciting opportunities to learn techniques working in professional sound studios and Mac Suites running Logic & Pro Tools. The programme serves as an introductory pathway to a Level 3 course in Sound and Music Production.

- Performance and Production Skills and Practice
- Self-designed Music Project
- There will be an opportunity to retake GCSE English and/or maths if necessary
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Headphones.
5 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and Maths; or a Level 1 qualification plus English and Maths at the appropriate level.
Students who successfully complete the course will be able to progress either to further study at Level 3, or employment.
There is a continued assessment throughout the programme, allowing students to improve and develop continually. Assessment comes in a range of forms including creative projects, portfolio of evidence and live performances.
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
