Sport Level 1 Introductory Diploma (Full Time)

If you are interested in sport, this course will develop the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to provide a successful progression route into the sport industries. During your time at College you will undergo 14 units and a number of trips to help your learning for the world outside of College. In previous years trips such as taking part in professional sport science testing, water sports, rock climbing and further outdoor activities have provided the skills to progress further in sport. You will also take part in work experience to further develop your skills and understanding within the sporting environment.

Sport Level 2 First Certificate (Full Time)

This is a practical, work related course which develops the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to provide a sound, basic knowledge of sport. This qualification will give you experience in a wide range of skills from teamwork and communication to being able to assess someone's level of fitness. You will also complete work experience or a work based project during non-college days.

Sport Level 3 Extended Diploma (Full Time)

The topics covered give a range of introductions to the body, exercise, practical sport and employment within sports industries. There will be an opportunity to complete qualifications in English and Maths, as well as participating in work experience or a work based project during non-college days.

Sport & Exercise Science HNC (HE Full Time)

The HNC in Sport and Exercise Science HNC has been developed to provide students with the knowledge and skills they require for current and future success in the workplace, or for progression onto the HND course. It is also possible to continue onto the second year of an Honours Degree programme. The course will also offer the possibility of obtaining a recognised qualification in Sports Massage, Fitness Instruction and Sports Coaching. Course dates and times will be confirmed at interview.
