This course will teach you how to transform a seasonal bunch of flowers into a beautiful floral design to be proud of. Learning how to create a variety of designs through the seasons, in different styles, modern and traditional, with and without floral foam. Come along and have a great time learning a new skill. Heraldic Art Calligraphy & Illumination (Part Time)

Alongside the specialist options, this course pursues the study and practice of gilding techniques, contemporary calligraphy, vellum preparation and stretching, drawing and design skills, miniature painting suitable for the Illuminator and silk screen printing.

Jewellery Beginners & Intermediate (Part Time)

A Jewellery course for students at all levels. Topics covered include Annealing, Soldering, Letter Stamping, Hammering, Forming and Filing, Oxidising, Roller Printing, Texturizing, and Design.

Portrait Drawing & Painting (Part Time)

On this focused and informative course we will learn drawing and painting a portrait from a studio model. We will learn new techniques for depicting proportion and construction of features as well as creating a finished portrait in oils on canvas. Acrylics may also be used, or the learner may learn to draw the model for the duration of the course. Learning will be supported by demonstration and factsheets and one to one tuition, enabling you to progress with confidence toward a finished portrait.

This course acts as a workshop for people with some or no printmaking skills. It concentrates on simple but effective methods of printing so you can develop your own ideas and work towards a portfolio of printed images. Prints will be made in oil based inks using presses in most cases. The aim for students is to be experimental and explorative once techniques have been learnt or to develop ones own approach to making prints.

This is a beginner course on how to use a DSLR or digital camera and develop your photographic skills and techniques. You will also spend time learning some basic Adobe Photoshop to edit, manipulate and enhance photographs. Most of your pictures will need to be brought to lessons prepared to work on. If you have a particular learning need (e.g. hearing difficulty or a preferred learning style), please make your tutor aware as soon as possible
