22 September 2025
On 22 September, Cabin Crew, Aviation and Travel students attended a Q&A session with East Surrey College Alumni Remi who now works for Easyjet as Cabin Crew.
Remi studied Cabin Crew, Travel & Tourism Level 2 before landing a Cabin Crew position with Easyjet shortly after finishing College. Remi has now been flying for three years and is about to start training as a Senior Cabin Crew member.
During the Q&A, Remi explained the highs and lows of a career in Cabin Crew, such as strict punctuality, high appearance standards, and exciting travel opportunities. Students were able to ask for advice and reflect on how their studies are helping shape their skills for a future in the travel industry.
Nigel Tostevin, Lecturer in Travel and Tourism, reflected on the visit: “Remi was delighted to come back to East Surrey College to speak with Cabin Crew, Aviation and Travel students. She told them that what she learned at College gave her a real head start when she began her career as Cabin Crew for Easyjet.”
He went on to add, “the students were really engaged and interested. They asked varied questions, as many of them are looking to pursue a career in the Cabin Crew sector of the Aviation industry.”
