Gain the skills you need on an Access to HE Diploma

Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in nursing or a health related profession?

The industry-focused Access to HE Diploma available at East Surrey College and John Ruskin College, is designed to give adult students (19+) an alternative route to progress into a career in the healthcare sector. This one year course will improve your work prospects while developing your academic skills and covers a range of important topics.

Nursing students receive an extra £5,000 payment a year

From September 2020, undergraduate/graduate students (on eligible programmes leading to professional registration in either Nursing Midwifery or Allied Health Professional (AHP) courses) will benefit from a guaranteed bursary payment of at least £5,000 a year to help with living costs. This payment is in addition to any tuition or maintenance loans and you don’t have to pay it back.

Where could it lead?

After successful completion of the Access to HE Diploma you will progress to university or a Degree Apprenticeship, with a wide choice of career pathways including:

Midwifery // Adult // Child // Mental Health

Alternatively you may choose to ‘earn while you learn’ on a Nursing Associate Level 5 Apprenticeship.
