Art Design & Contemporary Media UAL Level 4 Foundation Studies (Full Time)

Aimed at post A-Level students as well as mature students with relevant experience or qualifications, this course is a required prerequisite for most university level creative subject areas. You will study a very broad range that includes painting and drawing as well as workshops in 3D, traditional and non-traditional skills. There is a focus on materials, processes and methods as you develop your own considered approach. You will need to be self-motivated as you will be set challenging work. The Foundation Diploma programme at Reigate School of Art has a reputation for ensuring individual care and attention to its students.

Make-Up, Special Effects & Hair for Media & Performance Foundation Degree (FdA) (HE Full Time)

This two year Foundation Degree course enables students to develop a full awareness of the creative and media industries to learn the technical skills required to work as a specialist make-up artist and to build a professional portfolio. There will be both practical and theoretical sessions. With an emphasis on the use of modern and traditional technology and the development of professional skills. The course is designed to support careers within the theatre as well as in film and television, but will also include aspects of fashion and work in other creative industries. Course dates and times will be confirmed at interview.

This course offers the opportunity to study photography within a broad range of vocational and academic contexts through a range of assignments. Personal and professional development is key and will include business practice opportunities. You will develop practical skills including continuous and flash lighting both on location and in the studio, as well as technical skills using industry standard software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Sound & Music Production Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) (HE Full Time)

This course provides a route into Higher Education from a variety of level 3 programmes. It is directly equivalent to the first year of an honours degree and is designed to prepare students either for further study or for careers in various areas of the sound and music industries. Key areas of study include emerging technologies and their implications for the job market, advanced production techniques and studio practice. The course is delivered by a team of experienced tutors, all of whom are current industry practitioners.

Photography BA (Hons) Top-Up Degree (HE Full Time)

This course is available as a BA (Hons) Top-up for students who have completed a Foundation Degree, University Diploma or Higher National Diploma in a relevant subject. You will continue to develop a professional portfolio of photography work through a series of creative and challenging assignments, focusing on developing the technical and creative skills you previously acquired. This course will prepare you for progression into the industry as a professional photographer or in an associated profession.
