Design & Development for Engineering & Manufacturing T Level (Full Time)

This course is designed to provide you with the core contexts, concepts and theories required for the Engineering industry and is ideal for those interested in a career in the electrical/electronic engineering industries. This qualification requires a mandatory 315 hours (minimum) industry placement which will develop your technical skills and allow you to apply your knowledge in a workplace environment; in which you must undertake and complete in order to be successfully certified.

Design, Surveying & Planning for Construction T Level (Full Time)

This technical qualification is intended for those who want to progress to a career in the Construction sector, with a focus on Surveying and Design. You will also cover specialist units such as: measure the built environment, analyse the built environment, design the built environment and verify delivery of the built environment. Whilst on your employer led work placement you will complete an employer set project, which is an essential part of the overall qualification.

Digital Production, Design & Development Level 3 T Level (Full Time)

During the course, you will develop the core knowledge and skills needed for entry into a range of digital occupations by looking at data and digital systems; how software and business interact; the security, testing, planning and legal issues. There will be a mixture of classroom-based teaching and learning and 'on-the-job' work as this qualification requires a mandatory 315 hours (minimum) industry placement which you must undertake and complete in order to be successfully certified.

Digital Support Services Level 3 T Level (Full Time)

This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in digital infrastructure and support. You will develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of digital occupations such as IT support technician, computer networking engineer or IT security coordinator.

Education & Childcare T Level (Full Time)

The core element of a T Level in Education and Childcare will boost your knowledge in a range of topics such as child development, safeguarding and special educational needs; as well as your understanding of the role of families and support agencies. You'll also dive into the specifics of social interaction, behaviour, and how language is acquired, as well as build your skills in becoming a reflective practitioner. You'll then choose a specialism designed to support your interests, so you can get deeper into your chosen subject and build up the skills you need for your future job.

Sport Level 1 Introductory Diploma (Full Time)

If you are interested in sport, this course will develop the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to provide a successful progression route into the sport industries. During your time at College you will undergo 14 units and a number of trips to help your learning for the world outside of College. In previous years trips such as taking part in professional sport science testing, water sports, rock climbing and further outdoor activities have provided the skills to progress further in sport. You will also take part in work experience to further develop your skills and understanding within the sporting environment.

Sport Level 2 First Certificate (Full Time)

This is a practical, work related course which develops the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to provide a sound, basic knowledge of sport. This qualification will give you experience in a wide range of skills from teamwork and communication to being able to assess someone's level of fitness. You will also complete work experience or a work based project during non-college days.

Sport Level 3 Extended Diploma (Full Time)

The topics covered give a range of introductions to the body, exercise, practical sport and employment within sports industries. There will be an opportunity to complete qualifications in English and Maths, as well as participating in work experience or a work based project during non-college days.

AAT Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

Please note you must be employed before applying for an apprenticeship. This Apprenticeship will prepare you for junior and entry level Accounting roles. It delivers a solid foundation in finance administration, covering areas such as double entry bookkeeping, basic costing principles and using accounting software.

AAT Assistant Accountant Level 3 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

Please note you must be employed before applying for an apprenticeship. An Assistant Accountant provides support to internal and external customers and will work predominately either as an assistant accountant within practice or alternatively within the finance function of an organisation. Part of their role will involve assisting in the day to day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. In addition the Assistant Accountant may find themselves involved in regulatory financial requirements such as the completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations.

Construction Site Management Level 6 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

Please note you must be employed before applying for this Apprenticeship. Some of the main duties and tasks of a Construction Site Manager include ensuring that safe systems of work are in place on their site and that all staff and operatives on site adhere to those systems and safe standards of behaviour and managing interfaces between the various stakeholders associated with the site.

Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

The main purpose of a customer service specialist is to be a 'professional' for direct customer support within all sectors and organisation types. You are an advocate of Customer Service who acts as a referral point for dealing with more complex or technical customer requests, complaints, and queries. You are often an escalation point for complicated or ongoing customer problems. As an expert in your organisation's products and/or services, you share knowledge with your wider team and colleagues. You gather and analyse data and customer information that influences change and improvements in service. Utilising both organisational and generic IT systems to carry out your role with an awareness of other digital technologies. This could be in many types of environment including contact centres, retail, webchat, service industry or any customer service point.

Human Resources Consultant Level 5 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

Please note you must be employed before applying for an apprenticeship. This role could be called an HR Consultant or an HR Business Partner in different organisations. Individuals in this role will use their HR expertise to provide and lead the delivery of HR solutions to business challenges, together with tailored advice to the business in a number of HR areas, typically to mid-level and senior managers. They could be in a generalist role, where they provide support across a range of HR areas - likely to be the Core HR option; or a specialist role, where they focus on and have in depth expertise in a specific area of HR - likely to be Resourcing, Total Reward, Organisation Development, or HR Operations. Whichever of these is chosen, they will have a good grounding across the whole range of HR disciplines as this is contained in both of the qualification options included in this standard.

Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

Teaching Assistants work in Primary, Special and Secondary education across all age ranges encompassing special educational needs and emotional vulnerabilities. The primary role of the Teaching Assistant is to support the class teacher to enhance pupils' learning either in groups or individually, ensuring pupils understand the work set, know their learning objectives and stay on task in order to make progress. Promoting self-belief, social inclusion and a high self-esteem play an integral part to pupils' well-being; ensuring pupils thrive in a positive, nurturing, safe environment. It is an active role supporting the learner to access the curriculum.

This is an internationally recognised qualification based on practical, real-world accounting knowledge. You will develop important skills needed by employers and it will provide stepping stones for entry to employment or self-employment. You will take part in work experience or a work based project during non-college days.

Art & Design UAL Level 1 Diploma (Full Time)

You will improve and explore your art, design and media skills whilst developing the personal skills and qualities needed for work to help you achieve your full potential. This course offers a more focused approach to strengthening art and design skills and is suitable for those with basic previous practical experience. Art Design & Contemporary Media UAL Level 4 Foundation Diploma (Full Time)

Aimed at post A-Level students as well as mature students with relevant experience or qualifications, this course is a required prerequisite for most university level creative subject areas. You will study a very broad range that includes painting and drawing as well as workshops in 3D, traditional and non-traditional skills. There is a focus on materials, processes and methods as you develop your own considered approach. You will need to be self-motivated as you will be set challenging work. Art, Design & Communication UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Practice (Full Time)

This course is a vocational alternative to the A-Level route offering a solid grounding for specialism. This course is a vocational alternative to the A-Level route and provides a practical approach to gaining the skills needed for progression into a career in the gaming industry. It will introduce you to both the creative and technical aspects of computer games and interactive product design through a variety of creative project briefs.

Information Technology Level 1 Introductory Diploma (Full Time)

The skills that you'll develop on this course will assist you to move into a job in an office environment. This qualification introduces basic ICT practices and gives students a full breadth of essential ICT knowledge. This will also provide the starting knowledge for entry to employment.

AAT Professional Accounting Taxation Technician Level 4 Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

Individuals in the role of a Professional Accounting/Tax Technician will have responsibility for creating, and/or verifying and reviewing, accurate and timely financial information within the organisation in which they are employed or on behalf of another organisation. This will be performed in order to meet relevant ethical, professional and legal standards, and will utilise the individual's knowledge of the business systems and processes, as well as standard accounting and tax practices. This role may exist in an accounting practice, a professional services company, HMRC or the accounting function of a business or other organisation.

Embedded Electronic Systems Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship (Apprenticeship)

Please note you must be employed before applying for an apprenticeship. East Surrey College can support your apprentice in achieving this apprenticeship standard. Apprentices will study a Level 5 BTEC Higher National Diploma at the college and will finish their degree with a Top up year at University. Several local Universities have indicated that they will be offering this as an option. The final assessment consists of IEng accreditation.

Beauty Therapy Level 3 Diploma (Full Time)

Carpentry (Bench or Site) Level 2 Diploma (Full Time)

After learning the basic skills at Level?1, you can follow one of two routes: Site carpenters will work on building sites erecting and fitting timber. Bench carpenters will manufacture items such as roof trusses and staircases ready to be delivered to the building site to be installed by the site carpenters.

Plumbing Level 2 Diploma (Full Time)

This Level 2 qualification builds on the skills learnt at Level 1 and allows you to carry out installations of kitchen, bathroom and sanitary ware.

Make-Up, Special Effects & Hair for Media & Performance BA (Hons) Top-Up Degree (HE Full Time)

Available as a one year BA (Hons) top-up for students who have completed a relevant Level 5 qualification. You will learn the specialist skills needed to enter the performance industry working as a make-up or prosthetics artist as well as a hair/wig dresser and maker.

Mechanical Engineering HNC (HE Part Time)

This course is an opportunity to specialise directly within the mechanical engineering field, using a well-equipped workshop with the latest industry standard packages and software. The HNC in Mechanical Engineering provides an opportunity for technicians to improve their knowledge whilst gaining a qualification at Level 4 including an understanding of areas such as engineering design, engineering maths, mechanical principles and fundamentals of thermodynamics and heat engines.

Children and Young People's Workforce (Early Years Educator) Level 3 Diploma (CACHE NCFE) (Part Time)

This course is funded by SFL (T&Cs apply). This qualification will strengthen your existing knowledge of working with children in an Early Years setting and develop your skills for working with children aged 5 to 7 years. You will become a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator on completion of this part-time course. This course is available for those aged 19+ to study their first work-focused qualification at Level 3.
